Guess this has been discussed before but does anyone know if the default colours can be changed/renamed or can you add to the default colour palette?
- I mean so that the changes are permanent, not file specific ;)
- I'm guessing this means a little tweaking to the .ini but I wouldn't know where to look.....

Are you speaking of Style colors,
or colors on the MoI user interface?

Many Many Style colors can be added.
The maximum number is theoretically 256*256*256. (I think.)
I have about 34.
The color styles can be saved, and automatically can be loaded upon re-opening MoI.
I'll not say how, so as to not give false information:-) I'm thinking it is *.ini, maybe, with a .3dm template file...
You can create/ modify your own template file, or get someone else's template file...

I think that if you load someone else's .3dm, their colors take over, (but your theme template is still available for re-opening MoI.),
but if you Import their.3dm, your colors stay. ???

In MoI4 I recently made some color changes to Dino's dark theme, but I could not locate the (numerous?) places
to alter some of the colors.

Hi Brendan, if you set up the style colors how you want in a .3dm file you can then make those be used as the default styles by specifying that file as the startup template under Options > General > "Template file".

The styles will then be loaded from that file when MoI starts up or when you do a File > New.

MoI .ini file, line 5, shows the path to the template file.
Mine is in AppData. (Window's 11)
