Hi Rudl, there is a section of the help file for that here:
https://moi3d.com/4.0/docs/moi_command_reference11.htm#hiddenlinedialog
Here is some additional description for you:
"Generate outlines" - Outlines are curves generated around objects where the object is next to the background.
"Generate silhouettes" - Silhouettes are curves that are traced along areas where on one side a surface normal is pointing towards the eye point and on the other side the surface normal is pointing away the eye point. This can happen along edges and also on internal areas:
"Generate hidden lines" - Hidden lines are curves that are normally hidden from view because they are behind something.
Line style options will bring up a dialog that lets you control the properties of these different categories of generated curves.
Each row of the table is for a particular category. For example this row controls the line width, color, and layer that will be assigned to Outlines:
So that means that outline curves will be given a width of 3 points, will have color black, and will go on a layer named "Outlines".
You can set the color to be either a specific color or "From style" which will use the style color of the edge or face that the curve was generated from.
The layer can be set to either a specific name, or "From style" which will put it on a layer with the style name of the edge or face that the curve was generated from. You can also add a prefix or suffix to the style name so you can make silhouettes go on a layer named red_silhouettes instead of just "red".
Let me know if you need more information on any other pieces.
- Michael
