In this case when you use the Export Menu format OBJ
you can choose some properties as you want...
numbers of polys etc...

Hi shugishugi1. in these days with machines with lots of memory it isn't as necessary to reduce polygon count as it used to be.

So mostly just don't worry about that.

If you do need to reduce polygon count then when you export the mesh there are some parameters you can adjust. The main one is the angle parameter, if you make the angle larger (coarser) the mesh will have less refinement and have fewer polygons.

Another thing you can try to reduce mesh data size is using “Avoid smaller than”. You can put in a distance there and any polygons that are less than that size will get refined with a higher (coarser) angle than the regular angle parameter.

So if there are a lot of little curved fillets in the model, those can add a lot to data size without being very useful if you’re never zooming close to them. But if you put in “Avoid smaller than” with a distance that matches the width of those small fillets, those will then get just a couple of polys while other larger areas will get the regular refinement by the angle parameter.

That’s the main other thing you can adjust to reduce data size other than just making the angle coarser.

Also if there are a lot of geometry for internal parts that will not be visible in your renders then delete those things before generating your mesh.
