Scripts not found

Good day.

Sometimes when I open projects I get the message the the plug ins are not found or installed.

So I save the item that I am working on and open it in a new Moi and then it works...
at one point I installed Moiv5 to try it out and deleted it, I am using v4.
Also was using v3 before the upgrade.

Any way I can fix this?

Thank you!

MoI3 stores scripts in x86
MoI4 and 5 can store them in AppData or Apple equivalent.

Hi Matadem,

re:

Can you show an example screenshot of this message?

Do you mean it is happening right when you load the file or is it when you try to run some commands afterwards?

MoI does not put up a message like that during a file load but Rhino does. Are you possibly launching Rhino when you get this instead of launching MoI?

Good day.
It seems to me that if I open Moi and then file open and open a drawing the script works.

If I open an existing file by doubleclick on the file icon it open Moi and then it doesn;t work.

I have just tried it with the same file...weird :/

Which version of MoI is opened when double clicking the file icon?

- Brian

Which version of Windows?
How about right clicking of the .3dm file, and open with MoI4?

How are you opening the script file? Command window, or customUI?
(Michael is expert)

Check the extension of your file icon. Is it .3dm?

Hi Matadem, yes like Brian says it is likely that you are running different versions of Moi there.

You'll need to update your operating system shell setting to tell it to open MoI v4 when you double click on a .3dm file, currently it is probably opening up MoI v3 when you do that.

You can do that by right clicking on the file and choose "Open with" > "Choose default program" or by other methods as described here:

I agree with Michael's statements., and solutions.

Note: You can add (compatible) extra scripts to MoI3 directory in program files(x86) directory, for use in MoI3.

I recall a year or so ago, after adding Rhino6, Windows 10 decided to open all .3dm files in Rhino, upon double click.
But now they open in MoI5beta. I think Windows 11 made the change by itself. (?) Based upon usage...
