I am new to MoI 3d and I just downloaded the trial version to check the software. All cool, I like the program but when Differ Boolean with two objects is not working. Other types of Boolean like Union work.
I installed the v4 trial version in Windows. Any idea why differ Boolean don’t work when I try? Thanks

Hi Thorin, there are a lot of different potential reasons why, I would need to be able to examine the objects to determine that.

So can you please post the .3dm model file with your objects in it to go along with your question?

Thanks for answering. I am trying the Difer Boolean , just with simple primitives, squares and cilynders. Trying to use the cylinder to create a subtraction on a square face. Very simple stuff. Any idea?

Hi Thorin, please post the .3dm file with your square and cylinder in it as a file attachment.

You might have some kind of arrangement where the pieces are barely grazing each other. If the result would have an area of zero "wall thickness" like it has an inner and outer wall that are pinched together that could be an invalid self-intersecting volume.

It's not really possible to diagnose what might be going on from just a written description though, please post the .3dm model file so I can examine the geometry.
