Hi,

I have noticed that the tutorial using Plasticity is 14 minutes shorter, when playing at a rate that I estimate to be 1.5 x or even more. Would it be fair to conclude from these two videos that it was significantly faster to create the gun model using Plasticity? And if so, could you please explain why (features or workflow methods that don't exist currently in MoI3d)?

Thank you,

Hello,

my Youtube Videos have sometime more or less speedup values and the try and error parts was cuted out.

So Plasticity isn't really faster than Moi3D, Plasticity have safer and faster filled, but you must sometimes have luck to get what you need.

In Moi3D you have better surface tools to edit the fillets, plasticity have not any surface tools, it's a pur solid modeling tool, so you need an other "thinking" to solute things they are easier in Moi3D.

Pro Plasticity :

- more and better fillet options
- better solid edit options (you can pos/rotate/scale faces directly on solidbody)
- little better shell and thickness options

Big Contra:

No Surface Tools, only a 2D Shape based loft funktion.
