Hi hector, usually it's best not to try and import a SketchUp file into MoI. That's because the model data in a SketchUp file is made up of polygons.
So something like a sphere for example in a SketchUp file is actually made up of many hundreds or thousands of little triangles. MoI on the other hand is designed to work with CAD surfaces and solids so it's set up for a sphere to be made up of one sphere spline surface, not a whole bunch of little flat facets.
You can go from a CAD model in MoI out to a SketchUp file, at which point MoI will dice up large surfaces into small facets but it is difficult to go the reverse direction.
So typically the type of data contained in SketchUp files is not suitable for importing into MoI except in special cases.
