Rhino 3DM file won't import

I have a 75MB 3DM file from Rhino. I get nothing when I import it into MoI. I've tried saving in both Rhino 3.0 and and 4.0 format but get the same null result in MoI. What could be happening here?

Hi Al, my guess would be that your file is made up of either Mesh objects or block instances.

If you select one of the objects that won't import and use the "What" command in Rhino, what does it say about the object?

If you can possibly export a small fragment of that large file to a smaller file, maybe you could send that to me to check out at moi@moi3d.com .

Michael,

The model was imported into Rhino as a Solidworks .sldasm file (with a collection of .sldprt files). I checked and everything ends up a block instance in Rhino. Thanks for the tip.

Al

Hi Al, you probably already know this, but just in case - you can use explode on those block instances in Rhino to convert them into just regular objects which should then be seen by MoI's importer.
