Hello Michael,
what do I have to change in moi.ini so that when drawing rectangles the option "from center" is always preset? Thanks for your assistance

Hi moritz,

You only need to click it just one time in an entire modeling session and it will be the default for the rest of the entire program's session.

It is possible to make it the default even for the initial click though. To do that you would need to edit the file Rectangles.xml in the install's commands folder and change the ordering so that <command>rectcenter</command> is the first one.

Hello Michael,
Thanks for the advice.
I have changed the order in the Rectangles.xml:

<commandset>
<command>rectcenter</command>
<command>rectangle</command>
<command>rect3pts</command>
</commandset>

But when I started the program, the position of the symbols didn't change. It still highlights the 2point rectangle option. Do you have any other hint?

Hi moritz,

re:

It's normal that the position would not change. But when you click on the Rect button, the 2nd icon
should be launched for the initial default instead of the first one. This is what it looks like over here:

If it's not working for you like that over there what happens if you disable the UI mod in your startup folder that's
modifying the side pane UI, does it work then?

Hello Michael,

"But when you click on the Rect button, the 2nd icon should be launched for the initial default instead of the first one."
I can live with that.

"... if you disable the UI mod in your startup folder ..."
I prefer not to change anything. I am glad that everything works so far ;-)
Thanks anyway

So is that part working for you ok? With the change to the ordering in Rectangles.xml do you get rect from center as the default?

If you wish to change the order of the buttons that is possible by editing Rectangles.htm . The .xml file defines what commands are in the "command set" and the first one there will be the default one that is initially launched when activating the command set. The .htm file has the UI that is displayed for that command set.

Hello Michael,
I was on the wrong path:

\Users\self\Library\Application Support\Moi\commands\Rectangles.htm.

Now I have changed to

\Applications\MOI V4\MoI v4.app\Contents\Resources\commands\Rectangles.htm

made the changes and - it works!

Sorry if I stole your time.

But when updating to a new version I have to do the inputs again?

Hi moritz,

re:

Yes for this kind of mod you'll need to apply it again on new versions.
