Hi Matt, I think it's from an old version of the script that needed a slight update to run with MoI v4. Try the version from here:

I installed and it ran but when I say OK the bolt is always missing.
Now it just crashes.

Im a bit confused - do these scripts go here:

/Applications/MoI v4.app/Contents/Resources/commands

or here

~/Library/Application Support/Moi/commands

I moved all my commands over to the latter folder and now they don't work . . . .

Starting with MoI version 4 it will look for commands in both the program's command folder (your first one above) and additionally in the appdata commands folder (your second one above).

Either one should work but it is recommended to use the appdata folder since that is in one central location outside of any specific app bundle and so stuff put in there will be found by new versions without any need for copying files around.

What's an example of one that doesn't work aside from this bolt one? There are usually 2 files, a .js and and .htm file is it possible you only moved one of them?

Hi Matt, it's working fine for me over here using MoI v4 on macOS 10.15.7

When you say lock up do you mean spinning beach ball? Can you use Activity Monitor to do a spin dump and send it to me at moi@moi3d.com ?

Thanks, - Michael

Hi Matt, I also just tested it with v4 on macOS 12.1and it is working fine for me there too.

If you can generate a spin dump maybe that will give me a clue for what is getting stuck on your machine in particular.

Hi Matt, ok the problem is the script won't work well when you have units set to meters. That makes the pieces that the script makes to be very small numerically and booleans can have difficulty intersecting pieces that are too near the default 0.001 fitting tolerance.

So set units to cm or mm to use this script, then you can copy/paste it into your file with units = meters.
