Hi,
i try to create a sweep with 2 profiles and 3 curves. But i just get mess.

You have 2 curves overlapped on the side!

(more thicker and black on the display screen)

And seems you have only need of the sections ! ;)
More clean result!

Yep, you have multiple curves.

I think that sweep uses 1 or 2 rails with or without scaling rail. Not 3 rails.
Right or no ?

Why sweeping here ?

Lofting the 3 profiles is OK.

You can also use a network with profiles abd 3 curves.

Be careful with your curves and rails which are not exactly coinciding.

Okay, i deleted the overlaped curve. But the result isn't better. I need all the 3 curves (look at the top side).
I really don't understand why the sweep is again messy. Sorry for my stupid question ;-)

The right methods seems to do a network.
But you have to coincide points of rails and profiles to do a solid next.

Have fun !

Hi wsiew,

> I really don't understand why the sweep is again messy.

It's because you're trying to use 3 rails. There isn't a "3 rail sweep", there is a 2 rail sweep and a 1 rail sweep. If you select more than 2 rails then it will do a one rail sweep along each rail so you can do something like many pipes in one go.

So your case here generates 3 one rail sweeps over top of each other which is why it looks messy, if you drag on it you should be able to see that there are 3 objects on top of each other there.

You could use Network with that curve setup or just Loft through the 3 planar profiles without any rails at all would be better because your rails are not very accurately positioned, there is a gap between them and the profile curve.

Hi Michael,
thanks for your explanations. I missunderstood the manual. There is an illustration that made me think that you can work with multiple rails. But now i see, that's are 2 Rails and 1 Scale Curve. I'll try it with a network. And i'll first build a clean version.
Greetings, Wolfgang

I believe that you can consider in your particular object's case the "Scaling Rail" as a third rail!

Ps You have also the middle section overlapped! ;)

else Network works like a charm : Yo have just to close the extremities by a plane if wanted!

Hi Pilou,
is the solution shown by you the network-solution?
