Draw off axis circle?

Michael,
As part of setting the ellipse, when drawing one, we get an alignment choice that draw circle doesnt have. If I'm not missing something, circles must start off aligned to X,Y or Z, whereas I can diagonly align an elipse straight off.
Doing the same with circles would save a bunch of clicks.
cheers

Hi Spinner,

Can you post a model of the final circle that you're looking for?

Are you talking about a circle that is vertical, and then diagonally aligned somewhere? Because a flat circle is the same in all directions...

Michael,
Yes a circle that I want placed diagonaly. I can rotate it after drawing of course, but with the elipse I can set the angle whilst creating. Whereas a circle must be perpendicular to whichever window/axis its created in.
It's no big deal. Just a way to drop it in as you want it and avoid a rotate sequence, ala the ellipse. In my screengrab I've just drawn an ellipse and a circle but the ellipse is able to be positioned as shown in the creation.
Cheers
Spinner

I've added a "Vertical" checkbox option for circle/center and circle/diameter that will allow for this type of placement. It will be in the next beta.

I missed your post.
So, a slightly delayed thank you. lol
This next beta sounds like a xmas present. So many desired features.
I've been jonesing for the chance to drop MoI solutions into my ongoing models in other apps.
Can hardly contain the anticipation for this next beta.

It's getting pretty close, I hope it will be ready by tomorrow.

A couple of things I was hoping to get in had to be delayed until the next one, such as midpoints on arcs or arbitrary curves.

But it does have quite a bit of stuff coming in it:

.obj / .stl export
IGES import/export
Option to fillet corners of a single curve.
Copy/Paste support between MoI and Rhino.
New edge fillet option: straight corners.
"Set path" option for extrude.
Vertical option for circles.
Right-click or shortcut key to repeat last command.
Variety of bug fixes.

I'm still in the process of working on the .obj/.stl right now though.
