I'm rebuilding all my old sculptures as 3D models. This is one I did as an undergrad. I'm using old photos that I have as I did these on the fly (no drawings)
A can opener driven by the use of a drinking fountain. it diverts some of the water into the container. there is a toilet float that when the water rises so far it releases the container and drives a blade into the can.

yes,around ten of them are kinetic. My plan is to animate them. I'm thinking of making a walk through with a game engine as well but I need to figure out how to make a controller as a first person, so...

yes it's a can opener. At the time I had just finished reading The Penal Colony and this was my take away... go figure.
