Is there any way to turn a curve point into a corner point after the fact? (after the curve is drawn)

Not very easy...a possible process...
Show Points, Add Corner Point where you want it on the curve, Kill previous Point! ;)
or maybe more readable on the curve
Show Points, Kill previous Point, Add Corner Point!

Sorry there is not currently any way set up to do that but it is something I want to add.

Currently you need to insert a new point and delete the old one like PIlou described above.

Actually, if you bind AddPoint to a keyboard shortcut and use Ctrl, it's no biggie, one minor cleanup step afterwards :)
