Extras area a bunch more scripts that you don't always use, but want to have available.

Objects shows your ready to use objects library, to which you can add your own and drag and drop them right into your screne.

Reverse shows a button I added to quickly flip the views (top to bottom view, left to right, front to back, all toggle) and you can also see the TAB-less panels on the right

Scripts are the scripts I use (you can add your own also)

So many people contributed to this that I can't remember all their names, but if you read in the forum, you'll find them all. The people here are amazing, just as is this software and Michael...

Buying Moi was the best thing I ever did "3d-wise". After 2 long years of absence, I am getting back into it again.

The customization keeps Moi's simplicity, but adds needed convenience without adding complexity. I could zip up my UI files and send them to you and your MOI will be just like that, minus my personal objects; if this is something you want...

Hi Jabber,

I had the same problem as you and solved it using this theme blow.
It is a modified version of an old theme Michael posted some time ago. I cant remember when it was posted or what was the original highlight color, but I changed it to brown after going through a dark-blue version that i didnt like. Its not 100% consistent or perfect by a long shot, but its not that bad either :-)

If you like to test it you will need to put the 2 files in the zip in your ui folder. Remember to keep a backup or rename the original files first in case you want to go back to the default look.
You can change the background color, grid color, axis color etc in the settings window.

Dinos

I'm digging your dark theme Death but how did you get that glossy finish on the actual model in the view ports. I'm a total noob at MoI so please bear with me. Thanks

It's one of the lighting item, porcelain, in my the extras menu. There are a bunch of them to chose from.
The UI you see consists of a whole bunch of items and it's a pain to set up, especially for a newby.

I will sit down and describe how to install all of it in an easy way. You will get the whole setup, minus my personal objects, everything else included, along with the extras and scripts. Give a little while and I zip up the UI and instructions.

That is a neat ui setup Death. I'd love something similar to that. I only know how to use the MoiGUI though.

The parameters for lighting settings for making a glossy/matte/reflective type appearance are under Options > View > "Lighting options".

There is a plug-in from Dinos that you can use to more easily switch between different presets:

Thanks for the kind words Jabber!
Btw, I saw Michael's preview of the official dark theme on a different thread and it looks like he is also going for a brown version :-)
