Weird shading

Hi everyone,
Can you guys help me out?
I started modeling this iphone case in Moi 3d, but ran into this shading problem while testing to see how it renders out. It's supposed to be made from glass. The model to the right is from somebody else's project and it renders correctly. The problem is caused after I punch the hole through it.
What am I doing wrong? I'm new to CAD modeling, so I'm hoping it's a general issue that I am not aware of, rather than the program (Moi 3d) itself.
Cheers

Hi Bogdan, from your screenshot it looks like you've got some kind of render property set on it in your rendering program like an environment map. You'll probably need to edit the material you're using for it.

It's hard to tell though just from a screenshot. If you need more help with it please post the .3dm model file or send it to me at moi@moi3d.com if you want to keep it private.

But it is likely that your model is ok and it's coming from the material you currently have set up on it in your rendering program.

Or maybe it's that your model is not a solid and so it is not having its normals automatically set to the outside of the object. If that's the case you'll need to either make the model a solid in MoI before exporting it, or flip it in your rendering program or set render properties in your rendering program to use double sided rendering instead of one sided. Hard to tell based on just a screenshot though, I need to see the actual model to give better info.
