Hi all, when I am am extruding some curves I am not getting a top or bottom face. Any ideas as to what I am missing?

Check if your curve is close and planar.
Only planar and closed curves can be extrude to have closed solid.

Hi cad-guy, it would help if you could post the .3dm model file instead of only a screenshot.

But best guess looking at your screenshot is you probably have a little opening in the curve in this area here, I notice the vertical edge is a little darker there that's because there are 2 edges there not just one:



So in the top view go zoom in to that spot to look for an opening, that will need to get sealed up. If you need help with it please post the .3dm file.

One thing you can watch for - when you select a curve if it is a closed curve the object type indicator here will say "closed crv", if it just says plain "Curve" there as the object type then it isn't closed:

Hi eric, there's a CloseCurve command for MoI here: http://moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=2752.2 . That will make a line segment between the ends of an open curve like the Rhino CloseCrv command.
