arc direction and orientation

Is there a way to tell an arc which way it should arc when it is being created? In some instances, I want to create an arc between two points or curve ends on say x but sometimes it decides to make the arc connecting the two points on y orientation instead. Think I'm referring to tangeant arc but not sure. Or sometimes it even connects the arc in a concave manner. Just wonder if I'm missing a hidden hotkey function while creating the arc that dictates how it bridges. Thanks.

For Arc Circle from Center seems it's horlogic way from first point clicked! (extremity)

Hi Art,

Can you please post a .3dm model file for one of the cases where it's doing this?

For arc tangent when there are multiple possible solutions it will target the one closest to the points that you pick on the curves. So the placement of those points is significant.

Hi Art, I think the only way Arc Continue would make a result like that is if you put the start point somewhere on the interior of the curve. If you snap it to the end of the curve it shouldn't do that.

But Arc Continue is not a good tool to use for a situation like that anywhere where you're trying to connect between 2 curves. Arc continue will only control tangency to the first curve that it is snapped on to.

To make an arc that is tangent to 2 other curves it would be better to use Arc Tangent or the Fillet command instead.

Interesting. Fillet command on curves?
P.s. I already discovered the "through points" line tool to alternatively create arcs as well. Though I imagine you might tell me not to rely on that process or I might break something again :D
