Hi,

Learning MOI, sorry if it is basic.
I draw a line, if I want to move a point to a specific coordinate, how to do that?
I tried to select the point and TAB to type the coordinates without success.

Also, if I want to move the whole line 10 units in Z, how to do it precisely?

Tks,
Ulisses

1 - Just click your first point of your line somewhere then move your mouse and Write 4 5 6 in the Box bottom screen for x,y,z target! ;)

2 - Just draw your line then Click your line on an "hot point" (start - middle - end line) then move it in any direction and write on the numeric keyboard your wished distance (like 17 Enter in the "d" box screen bottom ! ;)
Your line will be move anywhere in a circular limit of 17 unities from your first snap click on your line!

Hi Ulisses,

You can use the Transform > Move command to do that.

Select the point you want to move, then run the Transform > Move command.

For the base point, click (with object snap on) on your point, then for the target point type in your x,y,z coordinate.

I do want to have a way to set this in the properties panel, currently properties for points are not fully developed.

> Also, if I want to move the whole line 10 units in Z, how to do it precisely?

Type 10 and push Enter, that will enable a distance constraint of 10 on the next action. Then drag the line in the Z direction, with "Straight snap" enabled.

You can also use Transform > Move - select the line you want to move and then run the Transform > Move command. For the base point type in 0 and push Enter that will use 0,0,0 for the base point. For the target point type in 0,0,zvalue and push enter.

Thank you both for the great tips.
Now I can adjust better my moves.

I come from animation 3D software and concepts are a little different.

Great software, loving it.
