BlendBump script?
This script is at the idea stage, inspired by Lara/Mala camel bump,
to create a surface protrusion by blending the single edge of a "cap" surface, to the single edge of a hole in the mother surface.
The "cap" could be a dome slice of a sphere, or a disk, or a slice of an ellipsoid, or a slice of egg perimeter, slice of a catenoid, etc.
The mother surface is perhaps larger than the dome, (or not), and of reasonable curvature.
1. Select mother surface.
2. Pick a point on the mother surface.
3. Get the surface normal at the point.
3b. Perhaps the tangent as well.
3c. Checkbox to flip normal.
4. A slant could be applied to the surface normal.
5. Create the "cap" on the extended surface normal at an offset from the point.
6. In an airplace analogy, the "cap" could have Pitch, Roll, and Yaw applied to it.
7. Cut a hole in the mother surface, with the point centered, or at lease in the hole.
8. Select the edge of the "cap", and the edge of the hole, and Blend.
9. Have adjustable sliders, to the extend History permit.
