Is there any secret command in MoI3d to determine what type of curvature is between surfaces: G0,G1,G2,G3? Is it possible to see that in MoI someday? Is there command for similar things in curves?
I have Rhino 6 but similar command is in Rhino 7. I wonder that maybe MoI has or will have similar thing.
Hi mdesign, sorry no there currently isn't any checker for curves or surfaces like that in MoI. I do want to work on analysis tools in MoI in the future though.
Thanks Michael for your answer. I would love to see surface and curve analysis tools in future MoI. After killing VSR plugin there is only one to one surface analyze in Rhino 7. There is no possibility to check matching surfaces on multiple surfaces at one time.
I`ve found that after buying Rhino I use MoI more often. I love to use those both software together lately (mainly for 3d printing).
I`ve found also that I prefer speed of MoI GUI and amazing snapping tools (more easy to predict without many clicks). For now I use Rhino for fixing stuff, for matching surface command, for xnurbs plugin and for some useful commands too. I start mostly in MoI and I move to Rhino when I need something specific. I`m glad also that you created way to use MoI with Rhino 7.
Thanks. For curvature graph I use Rhino. I`m looking for fast way to check continuity between surfaces. What is not possible at Rhino 6. In Rhino 7 its possible only one pair at time. Old Autodesk VSR plugin allowed to check multiple edges between surfaces at one time but it works only with Rhino 5. VSR plugins was killed before v6. For now if I will update from Rhino 6 to Rhino 7 it will be mainly for this command: EdgeContinuity https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/7/help/en-us/commands/edgecontinuity.htm . I hoped that I will find solution like that in MoI or as external paid script or so. This EdgeContinuity command is also very limited because of checking only one pair at time. It would be nice what continuity type is present on each edge of a whole object.
