Hi,

ive recently got the test version of v3 and coming from blender I really like the additional possibilities that NURBS offers me as a modeler :)
Ive seen that v4 RC has been published and now the question comes to my mind...will v4 increase the purchase prize over 395(v3+update fee for v4) compared to waiting for v4 and buying then?
Me being just a hobbyist in terms of 3d in general in my free time Iam obviously concerned for the prize point ;)
I do CAD for my real job so I know what other softwares out there ask once + yearly fees.....Moi offers exceptional value!

Hi Christopher, any purchase of v3 now (and going back about 2 years) will get a v4 upgrade for free when v4 is released. The release is probably just a few days away.

Oh thats good to hear! One last question...is v4 the end of the road kind of or will you be updating etc v4 with more stuff in the future? Looking at the massive time gap between v3 and v4 beta begin :)
Now with 64bit instead of 32bit (probably a huge performance boost)

V5 is on the way! ;)

Hi Christopher, v4 will be all wrapped up and new stuff will go into v5 betas.

There won't be a long gap between the v4 final release and the first v5 beta like there was for v3 to v4. That's because V4 was a major rewrite to go both to 64-bit and also to a cross platform code base so there could be a native Mac build instead of using the "Wineskin" emulation system.

So a whole lot of stuff got ripped out and reworked for V4 and it took a while before it was actually fully functioning. That should not be the case for V5.

That being said, I'm really not in a rush to develop things at a quick pace. I prefer to work at a slower pace and add things carefully so that the end result isn't bloated.
