Gaming monitor

Picked up an OPTIX G271 "eSports Gaming Monitor" at Costco, due to height restriction.

I'll give it a big Thumbs Down. It goes back Thursday.
The square pixels have black grid around them.
Text is terrible. Every thing is pixelated and "blurry."

144Hz refresh, 1ms response time. Maybe OK for gaming, but not for business...

Maybe I am just spoiled after having HiDef monitor?
I do not remember monitors being so bad...

Hi Brian, make sure to double check that your video card is running it at its native resolution and it's not being scaled.

Thank you Michael.

I bought a Dell XPS Tower (Small about 14" tall), 8930, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB Graphics, 256GB SSD, Intel i7-9700 Processor, 4 months ago. (It should be more luggable:-), and am just getting around to using it. NVIDIA AT 1080P, 1920 X 1080 (NATIVE)

My Old 2011 Samsung P2770FH looks only a bit better than the new Gaming monitor.

hi Brian,

one thing to watch out for is the color gamut the monitor is capable of. they often don't list that important spec. many monitors are very poor in that regard.

Hi Brian,

Just in case, did you plug it into the Display Port or in the HDMI port ?
To use nVidia G-Sync, it seems this model has to be plugged in the Display Port.

Thanks to everyone. I will try display port cable from Dell's Nvidia card to the year 2017 very nice HiDef Samsung monitor. (Tried HTML cable with moderately poor results.)
It's not any problem with MoI, but MoI and other business software has nice crisp view with the right "combinations". Even my little tablet has excellent view, (but does not run Windows.)
