Just found out e-onsoftware's Vue is now completely free as the parent company Bentley is no longer developing Vue. As a paid annual subscriber to Vue not sure if this is good or bad. But it will save me an $100 dollars USA an year... This also includes the PlantFactory and Catalogs of Plants and 3D asests.

Vue is by far my favorite editor and does support PBR materials.

However Vue is much more than a renderer. It is also used for landscape generation. It is like Bryce on hyper steroids. It is used by film studios and the game industry.

I have a book by Hollywood mattepPainter - Dylan Cole who uses Vue.

Vue was a sort of copycat of Bryce 3D created by the French Eric Wenger!

I have both Bryce and Vue. IMHO Bryce is a Chevrolet, Vue is a Corvette on steriods....
