Hi KOD4D, I think Burr is just saying that you can actually use Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V to copy/paste objects back and forth between MoI and Rhino for even easier inter-operation between them. So your target of using them to complement each other should work well.

Hi Michael,

I understand, but there´s ways and ways of pointing things out (just like you did), not laughing at a complete MoI newbie for taking the longer route. This is the type of attitude that IMHO might blow people off from seeking help/support.

Just my 2c.

Best regards,

KOD4D.

Just my two cents:

BurrMan has been around a long time and helped a lot of people, including me. He definitely doesn't mean anything by it. I can see how it would get interpreted that way though. If you hang around this forum, I think you will like it. Give it a try before quitting.

As for Rhino vs MoI. I think you will find Rhino to be very frustrating. It constantly messes stuff up. There has been tons of bugs and imagine there still are. I think you'll find MoI just works better in all regards. Granted Rhino has more 'features' and plug-ins. If the features are full of bugs, they do little good. I do wish MoI had the plug-in community though.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your input on both matters, much appreciated. I will certainly stick around as I believe this was just the typical "Netiquette" communication noise.

Cheers.

"""""Netiquette""""""???

So bad manners on my part?

Or is this more miscommunication.

Hi KOD4D,

Great to hear about your first experience with MOI,
which has become my favorite digital tool.

You will find out that this forum is as good as MOI
itself and that Burrman never aimed to ridicule you
but just rushed over to help you out with a quick tip !

TOM

Hi Tom,

The more I fiddle with MoI, the more I like it. It has a very intuitive/user friendly interface.

Regards,

KOD4D.

KOD4D -

Glad you're enjoying MoI. If you're not already aware, there are lots of tutorials and references in the Resources section:

http://moi3d.com/resources

I'm a long time user and still learn some new tip or technique every week when I revisit the Resources page, old form posts, and YouTube.

Be careful, MoI is addicting. Lately it's been helping the days go by as I'm at home "social distancing".

Hi Ed,

Many thanks for sharing! So many golden info/content there that I wasn´t aware.

I can totally see where you´re coming from when you say Moi is addictive =).

Cheers!
