Yes, it is "magical" that we have computers and software that can do things like this. But I want to make an important point. Many people want a fillet tool that will resolve such complex geometry. It isn't possible because there are many different ways that the original problem could have been solved. When you see it finished like this, there is only this solution -- all the other possibilities have vanished. And it is precisely in selecting one option from many that we leap from an algorithmic solution to Art. I fully admit that the artistic way forward may be more difficult, but I for one do not want to give up my creative urge.
