Hi Stefan
I understand all your reasons, what I can do and attach you
the zipped file that contains all the extensions-
So in your program in the ui folder of your version
you have to replace the entiere Node folder by putting the contents of the zipped file
files at this link:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/u6d4vzd7of76tli/nodeeditor.v.1.0.rc3.2018.03.09.zip/file
Good luck

Hello Friends ,
a square base pattern, in relief, applied
to a sphere ....
result 4704 faces to which a color can be applied ...
It seems to me an excellent milestone for our MOI ,
what do you think?

Hi,

I have missed the secret HOW you get all these wondeful patterns
so evenly placed onto a sphere - would you like to share it ?

Hi tom,
Most people kindof give the method in their post, they just aren't describing the whole process....

Alot of it is the "node editor" and then you see somebody writes a "node" to do something specific.

"What is a node and the node editor" is the question.

Ok, I see. So is there any script to distribute points / objects
evenly on the surface of a sphere ?

Hi Tom,

I think Max made one like that, look for "SpherePointsPlus" at his file archive:

Some intriguing and intricate patterns are possible with Wayne's SubDclassic node (based on Max's exceptional script) applied to vector-spherized irregular polyhedrons.

Since it is been a long time since there has been a post to this interesting thread, I post this example.

Have a great weekend
