Hi Stefan and Marco,
my little contribution to pattern on a sphere ....
The helicoidal motif can be varied with the many parameters ,
n ° round for the helix .radius pipe etc. etc.
I can not post pictures anf file, I have problems with the server
of the area in which I live, if you want, and you think it opportune you can publish the images
for the users
File and picture at this link:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/wph22wy712e6fhn/Loxodrome_Pipe_Ball.zip/file
Have a nice day to all

Hi all,

a little test and no rendering. I thought i give Escher tilings a try.
This is my humble approach. Four pink and four white birds. :-)
It would be a lot cooler if i would use more birds, but i never
done this tiling stuff before and at the moment it is a bit to
complicated for me.

Only MoI was used!

And the bird design was taken from this very nice page:

Inspired by Al's posting (his loxodrome), i thought i give it a try too.

For this task i imported some splines from Shade3D's MathModeler preset.
The tricky part was that the endpoints of the splines do not touch, so i had
to construct lofted surfaces with MoI and then extract the edges, to obtain
the desired splines, for further modeling.

Hi Stefan ,
and all Friends
I consider this form, fascinating and mysterious,
I have always felt admiration and amazement in seeing her ..

I tried to transfer the Yin Yang image into a Sphere and
I think the result is interesting enough
For the usual problems,
if you want to publish images for me I would be grateful ..

Have a nice day
