Hi Finema, when you paste from Illustrator it should come in to MoI on the Top view x/y plane. After you've pasted a quick way to get it to a different view is to run the OrientViewToView command, which is under Transform > Orient > View/View. In that OrientViewToView command, click once anywhere inside the Top view then next click anywhere in the Front view, that will move that stuff from Top to Front.
