Hello,

Perhaps Rhino and Grasshopper would be able to construct these models.

Hi Lordfox, yes you will likely be better off with a program that is more focused specifically on procedural object generation for that type of patterened type stuff.

You might check out TopMod which has some tools that resemble what you show there.

Grabbed a shape from Photoshop. Saved it as an ai. Import into MOI. Extrude, then Transform Array. Played around a bit. I did have to extrude the item in parts.

Hi,
as Franchy or Mikebres says, here are 1000 possible combinations in Moi3D

Do not forget flow-command (very powerful) in combinations with array and other.....

You can disassemble the case in to parts (if necessary in to ten parts) , flow, array over and rebuild to one object.
There only little limits......if you do not understand how a command works, then noting will help.....

thanks are due to the programmers of the 3d library

tiny remark for this geometry.....
exported wireframe model is very large,
when memory is full with steps "undo, redo, copy",
export (during meshing) can hang
