You can also just make a little very simple schema of what you want ( a little part) and someone show you with a little tut video
(made with the free wink http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ for example) or a little image how make your piece :)
And for the "measure" you have a very tricky system of helpers for draw anything by rapport to anything :)
Just "click and move" and that draw the helpers with the function in use!
So when you have a circle you can draw it by rapport to anything yet existing in the screen!
Now what do you want exactly?

Is beautiful that please without concept! My Gallery
Hi angeliclight, the function to do that is Transform / Array / Circular.
That will handle replicating your object by rotation around a center point. You just tell it the number of items that you want to have and it figures out the spacing for you, no math required.
If that's all it is, well, I feel like one of those special kids whose parents got him a super calculator for Trig class while I had to "suffer" with a measly pencil and paper...
Love the wireframe view in C4D - you can see the super clean meshes there. Nobody would ever guess that those clean meshes came from a NURBS model, they look like someone spent hours and hours arranging the points by hand!
