I wonder how i can script view port movement, so that by pressing a shortcut I can have the 3d view rotate around its current center(in increments)?
Atm I'm doing this by hand, to produce frames for simple turn table style animations(along with a screen capture tool).

Hi Ambimind, no problem! Yeah it happens to have been called "AutoRotate" and not something name like turntable so it was a bit obscure to search for.
