BTW : unfolding surface could be a very good and very cool functionality to implement in a future MoI version, you don't think so ?

It would definitely be cool! But unfortunately it's not an area that I really have experience in directly and so it would probably involve a significant amount of research and effort in order to try and work in that area, that makes it fairly unlikely to happen anytime soon.
