Hi Pilou,

There are a few issues with the French version of Max's "_NutsAndBolts":
- Standard US UNC threads are gone.
- The sliders for the settings of the chamfers of the screw heads and the nuts are so small that they are inoperative and make the script buggy.
- It would be necessary to replace "Thread length" by "threaded length" because otherwise part of the script, on the right, is hidden.
- I think, but it's personal, that it would be better to use the term "Stem" instead of "Fitting".

The 2 images below illustrate my point well, Max's original and the French version.

I discovered these little problems while having fun making industrial and/or mechanical parts with American threads in inches and French threads in millimeters, UN (ANSI) unified threads and ISO metric thread.

As has been done in some other scripts, it should be possible to make the sliders on separate menu lines, for a bit more text space.

Hi Zooen, here's a version of the French nuts and bolts script that allows word wrapping so it doesn't have pieces of the UI cut off.

Thank's Michael, (thank's Brian)

I added the UNC threads which disappeared for the French version (?) in NutsAndBolts.htm.
In France and Europe, these threads are sometimes used in certain CNC or other machining parts.

Hi all,
Tapping is the operation of machining a thread inside a bore.
A tapped hole is the complementary shape of a screw or threaded rod. Technically, it is a smooth hole in which a thread improperly called a screw thread takes place.

I hope that one day someone will create a script to do tapping, screwing, "Taraudage" in French, with chamfer in mind. To complete "NutsAndBolts".
For the moment I do it manually with two solids: a screw created with "NutsAndBolts" without nut or washer and a chamfer, then a Boolean operation of subtraction. Alright, it's working fine. Waiting for a "Tapping" script.
