Ahhh - I did not know, that I can click on that Info/Property (Radius f.e.)

And with the "move"-command like you descriped, it works perfect
to move something with a specific distance.

And the use of helper lines is one of the big help for crazzy positions between some volumes in the 3D space!
Try them, you don't regreat that!

helper lines is also why I use MoI and not illustrator for drawing logos and icons :)
