Hi Tony - which parts are you trying to fillet, just everything?

Did this model possibly start out at some small scale or something like that and then get scaled up?

Some pieces of it seem to be oddly formed, like this edge here:

When you view it from an angle you can see it's kind of bowed out a ways and it does not adhere too closely to the straight extruded piece:

The edge does not seem to have very good accuracy, it seems to be a pretty significantly sized gap between the edge geometry and the straight extrusion surface. There's a similar thing on the other side of the model as well. That kind of inaccurate edge structure will probably interfere with filleting.

Hi Tony, so I took a bit closer look and basically that little bowed out area that I showed previously is where the vertical pieces kind of stick out like a little tiny shelf instead of being all the way submerged in the upper piece.

So that little portion sticking out is what's making things more complex here.

I've attached an edited version of the model where I pulled in 2 control points of those vertical pieces so that they didn't stick out with that little tiny shelf-like spot and that seems to make it work a lot better. This version you should be able to fillet up to a radius of about 0.1, much larger than that and these pieces will start running into each other:

Hi Tony - just loading your file and filleting the bottom piece works fine for me over here:

Are you possibly trying to use too large of a radius value?

For a fillet on this piece you've got some quite narrow areas on it and that will limit the fillet to a radius of not larger than around 0.02 units, any larger than that and the pieces from different sides will start to collide into one another:

Fillet will have problems if you try to ask for a fillet radius that is larger than will actually fit in the available space in the model.

Sometimes it can be surprising just how much room a fillet takes up - if fillet does not work with your first radius value it is often a good idea to try some smaller and smaller values, like 1/10 of your initial value, then 1/20, 1/50, etc... just to see if that was the problem.

Hi Tony,

> I can not explain this thing

I'm sorry I don't understand what this part means - are you still having a problem with the fillet?

You should be able to fillet the file you posted as long as you do not use a radius of larger than 0.02 units. There is not enough space in the thin areas of your model to fit a fillet any larger than that.
