Got it done.

This started as a doodle in MoI. The project went pretty quick until I had to fight with Max to import everything.

I imported SAT files with the new Connection Extension plug-in. It turns all the surfaces into Max NURBS. This is a great route to go if you don’t plan on modifying your model much. A lot of things wack out with Max’s NURBS so you have to convert to polys if you want to change the model significantly. But if you just want to render your MoI surfaces it works fine.
