Hi Felix, I'm sorry but I'm not really seeing any distortion jump out at me.

Can you maybe post a screenshot with an arrow pointing to the specific area where the distortion is located at?


That is a nice use of rail revolve to make the flower pattern!

One thing to check is your original profile curves that you used to create the rail revolve.

Check stuff like the profile ends are exactly vertical to one another and aren't shifted by some small amount from one another.

If the ends were not trued up and you snapped on to the ends as the revolve axis then that could make for a slightly tilted result.

Hi Michael,

sorry, I realised the apparent distorsions are just lighting effects. I made sure the profile and rail curve are orthogonal and that I can surface each of them with planar before using rail revolve, that why I didn't understand what was going on.
