Every new technology has advantages and disadvantages.
But sooner or later someone will find an application for it.
That's human nature.

It looks to me that it's not ordinary sand. And the "binder" is likely to be epoxy resin, so it's not exactly concrete. However, it probably doesn't need reinforcement because of that. The inventor claims it comes out like marble.
