Midpoint snap on curve not working?

That's the "center of the curve's bounding box", which is different than the "midpoint of the distance as traveled along the curve".
Here's an example of that kind of midpoint:

Hi Michael,
In my Cad/Cam package, the points tool has some options... "Point on entity by Distance/Percentage." It's very handy.. If you could look into this, I think it could be a great addition to the point command.
