Hi Michael, I'm going to try to have the software for V1 wrapped up within the next 1 to 2 months. The actual release may lag behind that by a bit for documentation and other assorted stuff. But it's not too far off. It is still a bit hard to name a specific date.
Pricing should be somewhere around the couple of hundred dollar range. I guess I should nail this down and do an official announcement sometime pretty soon.
Please don't let this turn into a thread where people should suggest thier cost for this software.
and what its missing for the reasons why it should be a certain cost.
Michael has been pretty clear about what's coming in future releases.....
There is a point where we will all change from friendly beta users to wild "give me more" customers. I have seen that before in situations like that. Michael, please be patient, we all appreciate your work.
I'll wait for your official announcement but I have a few questions ready for you... Not just about pricing but some more general considerations. So, be prepared ! :-))
Please no numbers, let the man work instead of making calculations of profit :))
Seriously, the price must be always at the bottom of a feature list, so this is what we have to wait for.
I've been dealing with complex surfaces and class-A standards for some long time. But I enjoy any light, fast modeler suitable for conceptual design, I'd look at the new beta release as I just briefly checked the previous one and I had some issues with UI as I will post you about them soon. I emphasis on UI and logics for any workflow having quick and easy modeling in mind and using subdivision technologies as part of Nurbs/SubDiv hybrid surface modeling and SubDiv-Nurbs conversion ability.
