Hi kraphik3d, you just use the normal File > Open to open a MoI 2.0 beta file in MoI 1.1, there is nothing special you need to do.

MoI 1.1 can open the same files that MoI 2.0 writes, just some properties such as styles or object names will not be preserved into v1.1 since it did not support those things but the basic geometry will come in.

But also like Marco mentions above, the current v2 beta is still active and not expired. Double check your system date to make sure you have not altered the clock accidentally or something.
