Hi David,
It really gets a bit to convoluted for my skill set. He is doing some things with a combination of "Transparency Settings" and "PNG" files and "CSS Color Settings" that all have to be worked with.

Like that viewport seperator you mentioned is a PNG file named "ViewportForeground.png" in the UI folder. It is just dynamically scaled for the setup UI.

You would colorize that image to meet what you have set in the "options-View" for the background color.

Also, things like the command buttons in the palletes have images that are doing rollover stuff in conjuntion with a transparency setting. So it would be quite a bit of work to find the elements and change them all to look good. It wont be just one setting in the css file.

Moving the toolbars around (The construction/Transform area) I think is in the "SidePane.htm" file. Again, with this changing rapidly here at the end, with possible tweaks in this area of scene browser work, I would probably wait a bit before I invest to much time. I think ASH has already came to that conclusion also.

I personally will look for more expert results from these other fellows when all is said and done anyway. :O

Burr

Well for instance, since the place I'll probably end up looks more like this:

Here are a few of the changes.

In the CSs file i set the CommandBarBody and SidePaneBody to color as it seemed you already found. Then I set my options-view-background color to this also.

Then I colored these images:

PaletteBodyBackground.png

PaletteHeaderBackground.png

ViewportForeground.png

THe dialogue boxes are css color settings that you could find and determine easily for where commands are textually entered to go further.

The buttons are all images that could be colorized also. (You'll have to do a couple each for the rollover also)

Then when you launch a command like "Circle", that flyout is still the old color. SO you need to set the "transparent option in the CSS file for these 2 areas:

.commandbody

.commandsetbody

to "none"

Then browse and find the images that makeup the flyout background and colorize those also.

With this method you could probably figure out all the changes you need to make to make your own UI that suits your need.

".DialogBody" "Color" will change the text in the options popup too.

A bit of experimentation to see what it does. Just make a folder and copy anything your about to change into there, then you can experiment in real time by opening and closing MoI, and if you dont like something, just copy it from that folder back into MoI's UI folder and back to square 1.

Have fun!

Hey that looks great Dave. With what you have there I'm sure the few small things left you can find!

For all the text and things like that you can look at the CSS file. Figuring out those flyout images is your last hurdle but very minor.

What is your home app? Modo?

Awake again and noticed my erroneous post.

No need to fool around with the "Transparent setting" in the Css.

Along with the Pallete header and Body background images, the command flyout will be these files:

CommandSetBackground.png

CommandSetButtonBackgroundLeft.png

CommandSetButtonBackgroundMiddle.png

CommandSetButtonBackgroundRight.png

These will help to make the tool pallete congruent.
