When will Version 2 be released? I have an educational discount that will be valid until the end of the year. It would be nice to be able to purchase it with the discount. Also, I see lots of mentions of v3 in these comments. Are you working of version 3 when version 2 isn't released yet? I guess I don't quite understand where things stand and would appreciate being filled in on the current situation.

Hi Mark, I still don't have a final date set for the v2 release, but I think there will be just one more beta release first before the software is ready, and then I need to do a pass on documentation after that.

So it is getting close but still in some of the final stages.

Since v2 is in the final stages of getting wrapped up, some of the discussions for major new feature requests are about how they may possibly get integrated into v3, since it is not feasible to put major new things into v2 right now (other than a couple of final planned things that are in progress) since it is right at the end of v2.

I am not working yet on v3, it's just at a general discussion and idea stage right now.
