It looks like you do actually have a surface edge there that will give you what you need.

However, there is one of your earlier construction curves running over top of it, and independent curve objects have selection priority above surface edges, so it is hogging the selection.

To solve this, select that long curve and hide or delete it to get it out of the way. That will then make it possible for you to select the surface edge.


It's not a bad idea to get in the habit of hiding or deleting your construction curves after you have built a surface from them if you plan to do stuff to edges later on.
