yes im glad i like it too. i am used to using cobalt for just the reasons you stated ie non organic stuff which to be honest is 99% of the stuff i do. one reason i bought moi was for its file importing and exporting and the cleanness of the exported models. so the modeling is a bonus :)
anyway i am please with how the waspbot turned out and pleased you also like it. here is a screen shot of it in c4d
Apart from the modeling, this thread is really great... reads like a thriller tutorial: the concept, the suspense, the development and the final resolution. A link should definitely be posted under Tutorials.
As your family grows, you may need something to keep the kids in line! :)
As I did the can (afterthought) I booleaned everything together. I think this was a bad idea? For rendering and such you want the objects to remain seperate?
Any advice appreciated.
After re-reading my post, this hardly follows your design theme. If I get some time later, I'll try to be a little more creative and produce some bot oil that suits!
hmmm animated /me shudders :)
yes i have plans on modeling more bugbots too so stay tuned :)
hmm wd40, i would keep parts separate for texturing, just to save time
ok i had to start remodeling the flower thing i made for the antbot because i have lost the file. but as a bonus its another chance to continue using moi \0/
