Extrude a point along a line is the same than draw a line ;)
Extrude a point along a curve is the same than draw the curve ;)
Just extrude the curve

Hi Burr, it would be possible but in most cases you can get the same result through other means.

Like Pilou mentions you can draw a line and use z-axis snap to build a point "extruded" in the up direction.

For extrude along a path - that would be the equivalent of making a copy of the curve starting at that point, so you can use the Transform/Copy command to get that same result now..

Sweep could be potentially different, but for planar curves using Offset would produce that same result as sweeping a point too.

Actually I was meaning to use it with a set of points, that could be arranged in an odd pattern, draw only one curve to extrude. I could then use control points to manipulate the curves a bit, then use the csec tool to create my shape.

But since you mention the existing tool thing, I'm re-thinking if it can be done with the array tools new features.

Give me a bit to produce an example.

[EDIT]
No need for an example, It's the array with curve function! Duh. I just need to fool a bit to get it. I think to rotation none option does what I was asking.

Thanks Pilou for the nudge! Orivwah!
