Export in 3ds format and reload in free Google sketchup and you will have cotations possible ;)

Hi minimal - no currently MoI does not do that kind of annotated 2D output for plans, it is focused on 3D modeling currently.

I do want to add that in for a future version, but currently you will need to export your 3D model data to a different CAD program to add dimensions and make 2d plan output.

Just downloaded the demo for this http://www.punchcad.com/products/viacad2d.htm
for $49 and imports 3dm it looks interesting.
I believe others are already using it.

Personally, I find the ViaCAD 2d/3d V6 a good adjunct to MoI.(Under$100)
Nowhere as easy for modelling but it has some great features , including dimensioning and creating "blueprints" etc
that make it a good MoI companion app.

I only missing function for dimensions and exporting the 2d plan in pdf.

For under US$100 you can have the 2d/3d app...BUT I seem to recall from reading the manual that it only supports upto V3 ?

I have exported SAT solids out of V4 into VC and it works great but surface data seems to go a bit wacko !!

Definitely a great partner for MoI...that is until MoI supports all these things in the next coupla years or so :-)

You should try Alibre Design Xpress. Limited as the free version, but it reads .3dm .stp and .igs .sat files!

Import your model and then use the 2D for drawing and dimensioning.

I did not know sketchup had dimensions, I like how they change size dynamically depending on the zoom level.
It's much more simpler than fiddling with scales and print size etc..
