Inconsistent selection between computers

Hiya, I've been trying the MoI demo on both work and home computers. I noted that selecting objects or curves is much more difficult on my home PC, than the one at work.

Note the attachment "old rail revolve" which is just 2 simple curves.

On my work machine, simply passing the mouse over either curve is sufficient for it to be highlighted; furthermore, if I click and drag, movement is automatic.

On my home machine, I have to sweep-select the entire curve before it is highlighted; dragging is not automatic, and I have to select Move from the Transform operations to actually move anything.

Solve this problem for me, and my $200 purchase is assured.

Thanks in advance for your time and attention.

Hi Otterman, yes it is likely that you have the same problem that Paul had, which is a problem with a certain release of the nVidia display drivers where they had a bug that they didn't pay attention to MoI's request to turn off anti-aliasing when doing some selection-related processing on the video card.

You should be able to fix this by turning off anti-aliasing in the driver settings, see the link in Paul's message above.

Please let me know if you need more information on how to do that, or if that does not solve the problem.

You may also be able to solve the problem by updating your video driver to the latest version.

Woohoo! Thanks, that did the trick. Oddly enough, it was already set to application-controlled. I changed it to off, applied, then changed it back to application-controlled. Weird, eh? Time to inject my credit card number!
