Thanks, I'm glad you like the interface!

I'm planning on adding a way to insert background images into a viewport very soon, I'll probably start working on it later this week.

I'll also be adding a "both sides" extrude option soon as well - I should be able to get that in for the next beta which I think will probably be released near the end of this week.
